The not-to-do list

to do list

We all have to do lists. We set up our day to get done all of the things. But sometimes the most important list is the not-to-do.

Think about our lives. Most of us have one or two things that historically hold us back, things that make our lives exponentially worse with no visible benefit. It might be good centered behavior or obsession with social media. For me, it’s drinking alcohol. As long as I avoid that one thing, everything else works out.

Once we establish our not-to-do list we then need to develop mechanisms to ensure we follow through. But first, just identify those things that don’t contribute positively to your life and eliminate them.

Sometimes, the additive benefit of subtraction is what we are truly after. Stop chasing more, start chasing better.
