Show up…

show up

So much of life is just showing up. Now, I don’t mean being a passive cog in the wheel who just meanders through existence and wonders why life is stagnant. When I talk about showing up I’m talking about reliability.

We live in a world full of talk. Goals, dreams, plans. But success comes with follow through. Success is in the satisfaction that comes with being someone that people can trust.

Be on time, be present, and be reliable. It’s really the most simple thing we can do yet it’s effect on how others perceive us is exponential.

When you say you will be there or do something just follow through. Just show up. And soon, people will ask you to. That’s where opportunity lives.

While it may sound obvious, in order for a mindfulness practice to be useful it must be effective. The role of effectiveness is less about the practice itself but rather our own intent.
