Speak up…

speak up

Most people just want to be heard. It’s that simple. There is power in communication, yet in silence we feel powerless.

I encounter so many who are mired in frustration and vulnerability simply because they don’t feel heard. Often, however, they just haven’t communicated their feelings.

Frustration is defined as “a deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems or unfulfilled needs”.

How often does our frustration stem from our own making? How often do we “expect” others to innately understand our needs?

We can’t control how others’ receive our word. But we have to take our shot. We have to earn frustration by doing all we can to resolve our problems and fulfill our needs. And that starts with speaking up.
