Change is inevitable…

When polled, the vast majority of Americans say that the country is headed in the wrong direction. But does this have anything to do with politics or morality or economics? Or is it just our fear of change?

If we spend our lives, our energy, on resisting the inevitable, we are bound to feel miserable. We focus on the other and how these external factors are conspiring to control us, when in reality we are controlling ourselves by swimming upstream.

Can we learn to stand for our values, fight for justice and create community while also accepting the reality of a changing world? And recognize that we have very little control of that which exists outside our community?

Growth happens between our ears and in our hearts. And it’s contagious…
