How do you view the future

January 29, 2021
I am a broken record. I know. But I really do believe in a few core concepts about life and one is that perspective really is everything. Do you look at potential situations and see all the reasons they won’t work? Or do you look for how they could?

People on social media have asked how I stay so positive and centered. Ahh, the illusion that social media portrays. My friends in real life see and hear the ranting and raving and neuroses in real time. Yet, even with my informed skepticism, I still maintain a rather positive outlook.

I tend to approach life with a bit of a laissez-faire attitude. I’ve come to realize that I can’t control life and that things are going to happen that might not fit my narrative. I could sit and think of all the ways life might not work or I can say, “let’s see what happens”.

I’m a problem solver. I enjoy the problem as much as finding the solution. If you can begin to view the problem as a chance to find solutions, it becomes less of a problem. Let life’s challenges help you to grow. It’s actually a lot of fun.
