Expectations are resentments under construction – Anne Lamott

What do you expect? Out of work or life or family? Are you doing things today with the expectations of tomorrow? If so, you are in for a long string of disappointments.

We all have goals. We all have dreams. We should work towards those goals and dreams. But we aren’t entitled to any outcome.

Work is beautiful. Struggle is divine. It is where we learn to really live. There is no growth without discomfort. So lean in. Have uncomfortable conversations. Do the boring work. And let go of expectation. Stop building resentments. Start building a new you.
