Stop selling yourself short

If you’ve lost a significant amount of weight and gained some back, that’s still a huge victory. If you’ve maintained that for any amount of time, you are a success story.

I’ll often get messages or have consultations with people who’ve done extraordinary things. Hearing stories of those who’ve lost 50 or 100 or even 200lbs and improved their ability to live their lives the way they want. I’ve worked with several and seen the transformation first hand. It’s incredible to see.

I also speak to a lot of ppl who qualify their change.

“I lost 100lbs but gained 25 back”

To which I ask how long they’ve maintained that 75lb loss. They’ll often respond a year or two or even a decade.

We often qualify our successes. Like they aren’t good enough. Take pride in your achievements be they academic or in sport or in relationships. Be proud.

Recognizing our success doesn’t mean we give up aspiration. We can be proud of how far we’ve come and still desire more. But if we never take the time to enjoy the journey, the destination will feel empty.
