How far have you come?

June 7, 2023

Having a vision of where we want to go is important. Goals help us to feel connected to the process.

I work with high performers. In work, in relationships, in life. Except there’s always a struggle with body image and weight and how it all relates to contentedness.

A common thread with all of them is that regardless of how much progress they’ve made, the elephant in the room is “how far I have to go”. While goals are important (how we frame those goals is contextual), we must never lose sight of how far we’ve come. Whether it be to place a focus on acceptance in order to move forward or to place a focus on gratitude to appreciate our current status and further practice acceptance, be proud of where you are.

At no point do we dwell on our status, regardless of where we are. We recognize it, accept it, and continue moving forward.

Have you taken time to be proud of where you are and the person you’re becoming?
