Just get moving

May 29, 2023
The first step is always the hardest. To the gym. To changing your patterns around food. Even to just taking a walk. But each progressive step becomes easier, even as they increase in actual difficulty. So get out there and get started. You won’t regret it.

Every time my alarm goes off I think, “yeah, I’m just gonna go back to sleep.”

But I get up and rub my face and get out of bed. The rest is easy. Let the dogs out. Brush my teeth. Put my training clothes on. Grab my water and preworkout and gym bag (packed the night before) and head out the door. There’s plenty of days where I’m getting ready for bed and already talking myself out of morning training. But I value it. I know how much better my day goes when I show up. And so I just take that first step.

The rest is easy.
