What drives you

July 6, 2020
What wakes you up in the morning? What gets you hyped? What turns you on?

Music? Art? Great writing? We all have so many things that we let drag us down but we spend far too little energy on what we love.

I play far too little guitar. I used to play and write music daily. But I spend a lot of my creative energy writing a blog and working on podcasts and fitness content. While those things feed me in ways I can’t undersell, music is just there. There’s no transactional relationship.

So my promise to myself is to spend 15 minutes a day practicing guitar. Not for anyone else. Not to finish a project. Just for me.

Are you with me? Is there something you’ve put to the side that you miss? Will you join me? Let me know! What will you pledge to do just for yourself?
