Change your mind.

You’ve spent a lifetime focused on changing your body. Isn’t it time you tried something else?

You’ve tried every diet, every workout, every nutrition “program” only to be left feeling like nothing works. And the message you’ve been given is that you just haven’t worked hard enough. You just don’t want it badly enough. You just need more discipline. But none of those are true.

Your struggles aren’t about food.

You have spent most of your life on some sort of “diet”. Your weight has dictated your feelings of worth and value and emotions. You avoid pictures and shy away from close relationships and miss out on social events. You have become afraid of food and your ability to “control” yourself around it.

You might have even seen great “success” on your diets. But eventually the weight returned and the feelings of guilt and shame and failure did as well. And when you shared your struggle the answer from the industry was to do the same thing again, just do it harder.

And now you have opposing voices saying you are disordered for your desire to lose weight. That your goals aren’t valid because they are determined by a societal pressure you don’t even realize. It feels like you just can’t win.

The truth lies somewhere in the middle. You have likely created some patterns and behaviors that you no longer wish to engage in. And you would also like to lose weight. Two opposing truths can co-exist. One thing is for certain though, another diet isn’t the answer. Another attempt to control your life by controlling your food and exercise isn’t helping. Making food your enemy is no way to improve your relationship with it.

It’s time you let your goal of weight loss be just that, a goal. Instead of focusing on the finish line, focus on the next step. For now, that step will likely be improving your relationship with food. Improving your relationship with others. Improving your relationship with yourself. That will happen by developing the skills that give you the power to do all of it yourself.

The Stop Emotional Eating Program (S.E.E.) is designed to do just that. Arm you with the skills to be your own champion. To germinate self-leadership. To cultivate the CEO of YOU.

Do you want to SEE a future free from an obsession with food?

Do you want to SEE a version of you no longer obsessed with the scale?

Do you want to SEE a life that you would live over and over again, flaws and all?

It isn’t another diet. It isn’t another program. It is a group program giving you the skills to start living your best life. To stop treading water and really learn swim. To move from surviving to thriving.

The program is based upon my Pyramid of Change and the 4 Pillars that ground it. We will work to solidify these pillars (physical, emotional, mental, environmental) by developing skills from each domain. In turn, these skills will help you to excel in every area of your life, not just nutrition.

Each week we will have short skills lesson(s) that give you actions to move from a place of feeling stuck to one of change. While we will be doing a lot of “internal” work, the real value comes in the application.

We will also have a monthly group call and presentation based around our main focus for that month, followed by a Q&A. These will be recorded to make sure you can view them even if you can’t attend.

Last, there will be a community page where you can ask questions of the group and see how your peers are managing problems or struggles that you might also face. A big part of this will be community. Community breeds clarity and that is what I hope to help you find.

Best of all everything will be delivered in one app so you won’t have to ever get on FB to communicate! Messaging, community, course videos and resources will all be there!

To sum it up, you get:

  • Weekly lessons/actions on skills to help Stop Emotional Eating

  • Monthly presentation and Q&A group calls (recorded)

  • In app messaging

  • In app community chat

I am confident that this group program will change not just how you look at food but how you look at the world around you. It’s time you gave yourself that gift.

Change starts here.

“I was in darkness, but I took three steps and found myself in paradise. The first step was a good thought, the second, a good word; and the third, a good deed.”- Friedrich Nietzsche

The Food on the Mind SEE Change Group is an evidence based approach to help you break free from the chains of emotional and binge eating. I'm Jeb Stuart Johnston and I have worked with thousands of clients over the years helping them to improve their body image, improve their relationship with food and remove the guilt and shame that has developed over a lifetime of restrictive dieting. I have created my own personal model of coaching by drawing from a variety of behavioral health models including CBT, DBT, ACT, ABT, and IFS. Each of these practices focus on managing our behaviors through the use of skills based applications that also have the ability to improve our mental health.

This group focuses on the Pyramid of Change bolstered by the 4 Pillars that drive our behaviors around food. The mental (cognitive), emotional, physical and emotional selves. Each of these modes will be further subdivided and attacked at their most granular level. It is imperative that you address each of these in a manner that improves health while adding to your life rather than taking away from it. Sustainable change must be sustainable which means you will need to find something to enjoy about the process. Without this, you will continue to struggle and feel caught in the hamster wheel that is cyclic dieting.

Within this course you will receive:

  • Monthly live sessions/Q&As that will deep dive into our monthly topic

  • Short, digestible videos each week focused on differing areas of skill development that will help you manage your life

  • Custom app to keep all of your information if one easy to find location

  • PDFs and worksheets to help you break down where you struggle and develop solution strategies

  • Community support to engage with your peers and reinforce that you are not alone

  • Habit tracking for nutrition and mindset to ensure you are developing the tools needed for long term success

  • Messaging within the app

  • 1:1 Communication with Food on the MInd coaches

These lessons will not only provide you with the education to better understand your struggles, it will set you up for a lifetime of self-leadership. The goal of Food on the Mind  is to help you become the CEO of YOU. Every day you deal with a board of directors in your head, giving you contradicting information telling you to do or not do something.

"You shouldn't eat that. You don't deserve it because you didn't work out!"

"Go ahead and have 6 pieces of cake. After all, someone cut you off in traffic and the only way you will feel better is to engage in a binge"

These statements in your head aren't from the CEO of YOU, they are from the peanut gallery that developed over the years to help you manage physical or emotional pain. That is normal. Now, as an adult, you have so many other tools to help you deal with things like stress or boredom or loneliness yet when times et tough it will always be those parts of us that are loudest that dominate the conversation. If you want to change, you will have to learn to work with them rather than blindly follow or blatantly try to shut out those voices.
